Waters standing still
the sun's fiery glow paints
a brand new day bright

Sunrise on the Nile

Sunrise on the Nile
For Me
For You
It wasn't meant to be

A murder on the Nile
You see
A murderess I am claimed to be

I didn't do it
As I plead
I didn't do it
You have to see

A murder on the Nile
You see
A murderess is all I can be

He fell into the water you see
The alligators ate him, can't you see?!

A murder on the Nile
You see
A murderess is all I can be

All the fortune we had
is gone
All the fortune we had
so long

Sunrise on the Nile

Centuries of life awaken
along this revered shores.

Quietly today's barefoot one
wets her hands to refresh.

Age old sun ambers the sky
as in the day of pharoah.

Time caresses river of life
as Earth stretches to new dawn.

Sunrise on the Nile
Air warm and gently sweet
Feel no pressure in this day
Just time to swiftly meet

Watch the morning welcome
This day to treat your faith
No worries here forever
As stress must find its wait

Sunrise on the Nile
Soaking peace inside myself
Resting on this boat
Moments linger on the shelf

Hearing nothing sets the pace
Faith restored for awhile
Serenity fills me overflowing
Sunrise on the Nile
